Awaiting Valentine's Day

I LOVE Valentine's Day!

To me, it is the perfect reminder of the One who first loved us:

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever would believe in Him shall not perish but would have everlasting life.
John 3:16

How precious is our Lord and Savior!!!

Valentine's Day is also a way to show others that we love them :)

Valentines made for sweet friends...

A Valentine that was my grandmother's...

A small pillow/sachet made for a friend...

Do you have special plans for Valentine's Day?

After church Sunday,we are having a Valentine Making Party and Fellowship for the children. It is so much fun seeing how creative each child is :)

Please share, I would love to hear what you are up to :)

  1. Your Valentine's Day plans sounds lovely...and, so are your gifts for others my friend...what a blessing! I am planning a birthday party for my Emma for that night. Fun way to celebrate, don't you think? (Her birthday is in March, but, one of her friends cannot make it then...so, February 14th it is!) Hugs to you, Camille

  2. So thankful that I was a recipient of one of your sweet Valentines! THANK YOU!
Our plans? Not sure yet, but perhaps my hubby and I can take ourselves out for dinner! We'll see what the week brings.
In any case, I've enjoyed sending a few Valentines to some special friends and family. I do have to admit that, this year for the first time, I didn't create them myself. Maybe next year . . .
I just am thankful for my Lord and Savior, my family and my friends!!

    CJ,

Usually I don't have time to create any Valentines, I'm glad that you like it :)

  4. Hi sweet Sharon! The items that you made are simply lovely! I love the hearts with the music - very pretty! Whomever receives them will be extremely blessed :)

Lets see, for Valentine's Day I will make a nice meal for my husband and son and then we will probably exchange small, simple gifts and play some board games. We always do something together which is a special joy to me :)

Blessings and hugs to you, friend!

  5. Dear Sharon, We have a tea party planned at a friend's home on Friday, we are exchanging a small homemade gift. And this last Friday I hosted a tea party here in my home. We had 11 children also, it was great fun and we all enjoyed the food and fellowship. Oh I almost forgot I did make my first vintage heart garland, it was very simple and I sewed it on my machine.
Blessings and Happy Valentines Day to YOU!
